After welcoming my first child, a sweet baby boy in October 2023, I found out just a few months later that I was expecting again — this time, a baby girl! While navigating early motherhood, I was also searching for a passion project, something that combined my love for health, wellness, beauty, and self-care. I knew I wanted to create something special, but I wasn’t sure what that would look like.

During my pregnancy, I faced serious complications that often left me bedridden or in the hospital. One day, while scrolling on social media from my hospital bed, I came across a video of a traditional Japanese head spa. Something about it struck me deeply — the ritual, the intimacy, the way it seemed to nurture not just the scalp but the whole person. I felt instantly connected to the idea, as though I could feel the relaxation through the screen. At that moment, the vision for Crown Care Spa began to take shape.

As my pregnancy became more difficult, I struggled with hair loss and an early labor scare that required me to be airlifted to a specialty hospital, where I spent seven days on full bed rest away from my little boy for the first time. During those long, quiet days, the idea of Crown Care Spa became my light — a dream of creating a sanctuary where anyone, at any stage of life, could feel safe, cared for, and completely at ease.

Once I was back home, I poured myself into bringing that vision to life — meeting with landlords, electricians, plumbers, and painters, all while heavily pregnant. A few weeks later, I gave birth to my daughter prematurely. She spent some time in the NICU, and life quickly became a balancing act of long hospital shifts and caring for my son at home. Despite the exhaustion and uncertainty, I kept moving forward with the spa, determined to create a space that felt as healing to others as the dream had been for me.

Just two weeks after giving birth, I began working 9 hour days, seven days a week, to open Crown Care Spa. To my amazement, the response from the community was overwhelming. Within five months, I was able to expand both my equipment and my team thanks to the incredible support of clients, family, and friends who lifted us up in every possible way.

Today, Crown Care Spa proudly stands as the first head spa in Butte County. It is more than a spa — it’s a sanctuary built from resilience, love, and the belief that everyone deserves a place to feel completely cared for. I am now the proud mother of two beautiful children, and the owner of a growing business that continues to evolve each day.
